DESCRIPTION: Quick Lock is a strictly mechanical point repair system for the inside repair of pipes. No resin is used! Application range is from 6-inch to 32-inch pipe diameter. For each individual pipe diameter a specific sleeve diameter must be chosen. The components consist of a V4A stainless sleeve, covered by an EPDM compression seal. This system can be used for all common sewage, well and potable water piping systems. MATERIALS: The Quick Lock sleeve body is made of high-grade V4A stainless steel in grade 1.4571. Stainless steel of this grade shows high corrosion resistance. Quick Lock has been designed for the use mainly in municipal sewage and potable water. When intended for industrial sewage, its corrosion resistance has to be evaluated, prior to this specific application. The EPDM rubber gasket is a proven component for the application in municipal sewage and potable water. EPDM distinguishes itself by excellent physical properties and resistance against aging, ozone, atmospheric conditions and environmental influences, alkaline and various leaches and chemicals. PATENTED LOCKING MECHANISM: Two tooth strips are punched into the left and right side of the sleeve. In each tooth strip, there is a locking and gear mechanism, guiding the sleeve sheet while being installed. After reachcing maximum compression pressure, the gear is permanently locked. The distance between tooth groove and tooth tip is one click. That means the maximum possible return stroke from tooth tip to the next lower groove may cause a maximum diameter reduction after compression of only about 0.025 inch, independent of the nominal size. Therefore, the locking mechanism operates in an almost infinitely-variable way. INSTALLATION: The installation is very simple and can be performed by occupying only one manhole. Quick Lock can be installed with flow, as there is NO resin used, which could be flushed out or needs air to cure. Quick Lock packers (inflatable bladders) are hollow, allowing the flow to go through the packer without backing up sewage during installation. The actual installation time is usually about 3 to 5 minutes. APPLICATIONS: *Pipe cracks, root control, abandoned laterals, and leaking joints *For inner pipe pressure up to 130psi (requires special EPDM seal) *Maximum allowed pipe offset is 7/16 inch *Common municipal sewage - for industrial wastewater, check with us prior to installation *Seamless installation (overlapping) IMPORTANT! Not to be used when parts of the pipe are intruding or in callapsed pipes! Pipe must be cleaned prior to installation! No solid objects in pipe! WARRANTY: RAUSCH offers a standard 50 year waranty on the materials, when used in common municipal sewage conditions. CURRENT CERTIFICATIONS: Quick Lock holds cetifications from DIBt, Zulassung Nr. Z-42.3-374 and from WRc, number PT/283/0609. Quick Lock has been installed by many municipalities and contractors throughout the US. Worldwide, approximately 100,000 sleeves are installed up to date. |
